ADHD Assessment
At Graham Psychology, we conduct comprehensive ADHD Assessments for children, adolescents and adults. The assessment enables us to identify and connect behaviours exhibited by the individual with what we typically see in ADHD, identify your strengths and help you to understand yourself better. We recommend following up with a psychiatrist or paediatrician if you believe that medication would be of assistance.

What to expect
Session 1
A clinical interview where we will ask lots of questions about your current functioning and notable symptoms you have recognised. We will commonly ask you to complete a few questionnaires prior to our next appointment.
This intake will take place with a parent/ guardian for children and adolescent assessments.
50 minute appointment
Session 2
You engage in a series of assessments that test your working memory, executive function and problem solving capacity.
From here, your psychologist will review your results and consolidate their findings into a comprehensive report. This is then shared with you 4-6 weeks after your assessment.
90 - 120 minute appointment
Session 3
We provide you with your results, discuss your results and open the floor for you to ask any questions.
We will provide tailored recommendations on strategies to employ, resources to access and suggestions of psychiatrists or paediatricians for additional support.

No, you do not need a referral to book an assessment for ADHD. If you are looking to claim a Medicare rebate for your intake and/or feedback session, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan.

No, Psychologists cannot prescribe medication. If the individual is wanting to explore medication as a support, we can provide recommendations of psychiatrists with availability.

We conduct ADHD Assessments for children (6+), adolescents and adults.

We are unable to conduct ADHD Assessments for children or adolescents via Telehealth. We can complete an adult assessment online in some circumstances, please enquire with admin as to whether you're eligible.

Our ADHD Assessments are structured over 3 sessions. The initial intake session is 50 minutes, the assessment session will run between 90 - 120 minutes and the feedback session is 50 minutes.

Prices for an ADHD Assessment vary dependent on the psychologists qualifications. Assessments with a Provisional Psychologists cost $1000 and General & Clinical Psychologists cost $1200.
