Our Team at Tinternvale Primary School
We are proud to partner with Tinternvale Primary School, a local school located in East Ringwood, to provide accessible and affordable therapy during school hours. As part of this partnership, we have three psychologists who work on-site at Tinternvale five days a week, minimising the amount of time students spend out of class to attend. Due to the proximity to our Ringwood clinic, students are able to continue accessing mental health support during school holidays and when experiencing periods of school can’t.

Continual support even during school holidays or when getting to school is just too difficult
We know that for many students seeing a Psychologist, they thrive on the routine of school and even though the school holidays provide an opportunity for rest, the change to routine can also cause unease. This is why we often have parents move their standing appointment to our nearby Ringwood clinic to enable the routine of appointments to continue for their child. We’re also then able to work on strategies to make the holiday period more enjoyable and relaxing.
We also work with students who at times can find attending school difficult and are navigating school can’t/ refusal. Our team apply a neuro-affirming, strengths focused approach to supporting students to engage in learning, manage their wellbeing and partner with parents to work towards a common goal. When students feel unable to attend school, our psychologists are able to arrange alternative session times at our Ringwood location.
