Autism Assessments

Graham Psychology have Psychologists who are qualified in using the ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) system for assessing and diagnosing Autism. 

The ADOS system is a comprehensive assessment, meaning that parents will be able to give our written report to their Paediatrician and provide it to their child’s school or kindergarten to potentially gain further support or aid. 

We understand that having your child assessed for Autism can be a stressful and an anxiety provoking time. Our Psychologists are compassionate and skilled clinicians who pride themselves on educating and supporting parents throughout the process. 

The assessment is conducted over 3 sessions: Intake session, assessment session and a report / feedback session. 

The cost of these assessments is $1,600 and includes all threes sessions.

ADHD Assessments

ADHD assessments are to diagnose Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This involves a comprehensive evaluation of information gathered from the client, family members and/or teachers. 

Assessments are run over 3 sessions. Sessions include an interview on history, the assessment itself, and a report/feedback session (4-6 weeks after the assessment) explaining all results.

Pricing:
Psychologist $600 / Provisional Psychologist $400

Cognitive Assessments

Cognitive assessments are used to assess and identify an individual’s general thinking and reasoning abilities and IQ. 

Our cognitive assessments usually cover one of the following assessments: WISC, WPPSI or WAIS

Assessments are run over 3 sessions. Sessions include an interview on history, the assessment itself, and a report/feedback session (4-6 weeks after the assessment) explaining all results.

Vocational Assessments

We know that when students are motivated, they perform better and are better engaged. Motivation can be hard to generate when we do not know what we’re working towards. Research has shown that students are motivated, and have ambition for future study, this is more likely to create a culture of ambition and achievement amongst their peers.  

Vocational assessments are used to assess and identify an individual’s current skills and interests, determine occupational options and potential goals.

A vocational assessment can be beneficial for students who are unsure about their first career step, be it to work, university or TAFE

At the end of a vocational assessment, students will have an understanding what job roles would suit their personality and work values. The assessment program will assist your students in feeling more confident in their VCE subject choices.  

When a vocational assessment is completed in year 11 or year 12, we can set up students with confidence and knowledge about what educational options, occupations and job roles may suit them. It can also be incredibly beneficial and informative for those students in year 10 who are needing to choose their VCE subjects. 

Vocational assessments include a questionnaire on educational and occupational history, psychological tests focusing on personality and work preferences, and a detailed report outlining and explaining all results. The assessments can be completed online.
